Terms of Service
Entity: MoneyMe.kids
Effective date: July 2, 2026
Jurisdiction: United States
Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") describe the rules for using MoneyMe. By creating an account, accessing, or using MoneyMe, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use MoneyMe.
If you are creating an account on behalf of a family, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian authorized to bind the family to these Terms.
Description of service
MoneyMe is a parent-controlled virtual family ledger for family money learning. Parents can:
- Create and manage kid profiles
- Track virtual balances for each kid
- Configure virtual interest rates and allowance schedules
- Approve, deny, or counter kid withdrawal requests
- Pair and manage kid devices
Kids can view their virtual balance, transaction history, and submit withdrawal requests for parent approval.
MoneyMe is virtual
MoneyMe is not a bank, payment app, wallet, brokerage, or real-money account. MoneyMe only tracks virtual balances controlled by a parent. Parents are responsible for any real money outside MoneyMe.
Key points about MoneyMe's virtual nature:
- MoneyMe tracks virtual balances only. It does not hold, move, invest, custody, or pay real money.
- Virtual interest and allowance are educational tools, not real financial products.
- Withdrawal requests ask parents for approval. Approving a request updates the virtual ledger; it does not move real money.
- Parents are responsible for any real-world money decisions and transactions outside MoneyMe.
- MoneyMe is not financial advice, tax advice, or an investing product.
Eligibility
To create a parent account, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- Be the parent or legal guardian of any children you add to your family
- Have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of your family
Kid accounts are created and controlled by parents. Kids do not create their own accounts or agree to these Terms directly.
Parent responsibilities
As a parent using MoneyMe, you are responsible for:
- Account security: Keeping your sign-in credentials secure and not sharing them with others.
- Family management: Creating accurate kid profiles and configuring appropriate settings.
- Device security: Managing which devices have access to your family's accounts and revoking access when appropriate.
- Request decisions: Reviewing and responding to kid withdrawal requests in a timely manner.
- Real-world money: Making all real-world money decisions outside MoneyMe. MoneyMe does not control or advise on real money.
- Kid supervision: Supervising your children's use of MoneyMe and ensuring they understand it is a virtual ledger.
- Accurate information: Providing accurate information and not misrepresenting your identity or family.
Kid access
Kid access to MoneyMe is designed to be:
- QR-paired: Kids access their account by scanning a QR code generated by the parent. No kid email or password is required.
- Limited scope: Kids can view their own balance and history, and submit withdrawal requests. They cannot access other family members' accounts or change settings.
- Parent-controlled: Parents can revoke kid device access at any time.
Kids should understand that MoneyMe tracks virtual money and that they should ask their parent before spending real money.
Acceptable use
You agree to use MoneyMe only for its intended purpose as a family money learning tool. You agree not to:
- Access or attempt to access another family's information
- Share authentication tokens, QR tokens, session credentials, or account access with unauthorized persons
- Use MoneyMe for unlawful purposes
- Misrepresent real-world money activity or use MoneyMe to deceive others about actual finances
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or access systems without authorization
- Use automated tools to access MoneyMe without permission
- Upload or send unnecessary child personal information to support
- Use MoneyMe in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
Intellectual property
MoneyMe and its content, features, and functionality are owned by MoneyMe.kids and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute MoneyMe's software or content without permission
- Use MoneyMe's trademarks or branding without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble MoneyMe's software
You retain ownership of any content you provide (such as kid names or notes). By providing content, you grant MoneyMe a license to use it as needed to operate the service.
Subscriptions and billing
MoneyMe offers a free tier with core features. MoneyMe may offer a paid Family plan in the future for additional features, such as multiple active kid profiles and earning events. All paid subscriptions and in-app purchases will be offered exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play. MoneyMe does not collect or store payment card information directly.
Prices, subscription periods, renewal terms, cancellation, refunds, taxes, and billing support are governed by the Apple App Store or Google Play terms that apply to your purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple or Google account settings.
If a subscription lapses, expires, is canceled, or cannot be renewed, paid features may become unavailable. Extra kid profiles or paid-feature data may become read-only, but MoneyMe will not delete your family data solely because a subscription lapses. Parents may still request export or deletion as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Rights page.
We may change paid features or pricing with notice where required. Any store purchase will show the applicable price and terms before you confirm the purchase.
App store terms
If you download MoneyMe from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the terms of that store also apply to your download, purchase, subscription, renewal, cancellation, and refund rights.
For Apple App Store downloads, these Terms are between you and MoneyMe.kids, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for MoneyMe or its content, maintenance, support, warranties, claims, or legal compliance, except as required by applicable law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for MoneyMe.
If MoneyMe fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price for the app, if any, as required by Apple's terms and applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation for MoneyMe. Apple is not responsible for addressing product claims, intellectual property claims, consumer protection claims, or other claims relating to MoneyMe or your use of MoneyMe. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you as third-party beneficiaries.
For Google Play downloads, your use of MoneyMe is also subject to the Google Play terms that apply to your account, device, country, purchase, and subscription. Google is not responsible for MoneyMe or for providing support for MoneyMe, except as required by applicable law or Google Play policies.
If any app store term conflicts with these Terms, the app store term controls only for the store-related issue, such as purchase processing, subscription management, cancellation, or refund handling.
Availability and changes
MoneyMe is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the entire service at any time
- Perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
- Change these Terms with notice to users through the notice channels described below
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes through in-app messages, push notifications, legal notices to the parent sign-in email address, app store notices, or other reasonable service channels. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Termination, suspension, and account freeze
You may stop using MoneyMe and delete your account at any time. See our Data Rights page for deletion instructions.
We may suspend, terminate, limit, or freeze access to a family, parent account, kid device session, or virtual ledger profile if:
- You violate these Terms
- We believe access has been compromised or creates a security risk
- We believe MoneyMe is being misused, including for fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, or attempts to access another family's information
- We are required to do so by law, legal process, app store requirement, or safety obligation
- We discontinue the service
A suspension or freeze may make MoneyMe read-only, prevent new activity, revoke device access, or block access entirely, depending on the reason and risk. Because MoneyMe is virtual, suspension or freeze affects only access to MoneyMe and does not move, hold, pay, or control real money.
If you believe we made a mistake, contact support@moneyme.kids and include the parent account email and a brief explanation. We will review appeals where appropriate.
Upon termination, your right to use MoneyMe ends. Provisions that should survive termination, such as limitations of liability, dispute resolution, intellectual property, and privacy-related obligations, will continue to apply.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- MoneyMe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not warrant that MoneyMe will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- We do not provide financial, tax, legal, or investment advice
- We are not responsible for any real-world money decisions you make
- We are not responsible for the actions of third-party service providers
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoneyMe.kids and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

- Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use MoneyMe

- Your use of MoneyMe

Notices
MoneyMe does not operate a marketing-email channel and will not send marketing emails unless we later ask for and receive any consent required by law.
We may send service, legal, transactional, security, privacy, billing, subscription, and account-related notices through in-app messages, push notifications, app store subscription notices, or other reasonable service channels.
We may also send legal, transactional, security, privacy, billing, subscription, or account-related notices to the parent sign-in email address associated with your account. This email carve-out is limited to non-marketing notices needed to operate MoneyMe, protect families, comply with law, or manage your relationship with us.
You are responsible for keeping your parent sign-in email address current and for reviewing notices delivered through the app, push notifications, and email.
Dispute resolution
Counsel decision: This draft keeps a simple governing-law and court venue clause instead of adding binding arbitration or a class action waiver. Counsel should confirm the final governing law, venue, and whether arbitration should be added before launch.
If you have a dispute with MoneyMe, please contact us first at support@moneyme.kids. We will try to resolve the issue informally and in good faith.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where consumer protection laws require a different result.
To the extent permitted by law, any legal action or proceeding arising from these Terms or MoneyMe must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and MoneyMe.kids consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking relief in small claims court where permitted, seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief, or contacting a regulator or government agency where allowed by law.
Privacy
Your use of MoneyMe is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. The service is designed to minimize kid data and avoid analytics SDKs and crash SDKs in the mobile apps.
General provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MoneyMe.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to a successor or affiliate.
- No third-party beneficiaries: These Terms do not create rights for any third party except where expressly stated in the App store terms section.
