Your data rights
MoneyMe is committed to giving parents control over their family's data. This page explains how to request data export and account deletion.
Data export
Parents can request a full export of their family's MoneyMe data. The export includes:
- Family and kid profile information
- Account balances and settings
- Full transaction history (deposits, withdrawals, interest, allowance)
- Withdrawal request history and decisions
- Device and session information
Export requests are processed through the parent app when available. You can also request an export by emailing privacy@moneyme.kids from the email address associated with your parent account.
Account deletion
Parents can request full hard deletion of their family's MoneyMe data. Hard deletion removes family-owned product data, including:
- Family and all kid profiles
- All account balances and settings
- All transaction history
- All withdrawal requests and decisions
- All paired devices and kid sessions
- All stored files (avatars, exports)
Parent sign-in and identity provider records may be handled separately depending on how you signed up. Contact support if you need assistance with identity provider account removal.
What is retained after deletion
After hard deletion, MoneyMe may retain only limited non-PII records needed for:
- Security and fraud prevention
- Legal compliance and audit requirements
- Operational integrity (e.g., anonymized aggregate statistics)
These retained records do not include personal information that could identify your family or kids.
How to request deletion
Deletion requests can be submitted through the parent app when available. You can also request deletion by emailing privacy@moneyme.kids from the email address associated with your parent account.
Please include:
- A clear statement that you want to delete your family's MoneyMe data
- Confirmation that you understand deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
Processing time
Export and deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days. You will receive confirmation when your request is complete.
Before you delete
Before requesting deletion, consider:
- Export first: Request a data export if you want to keep a record of your family's transaction history.
- Revoke kid devices: Paired kid devices will lose access when the family is deleted, but you may want to revoke them first.
- Permanent action: Deletion of family-owned product data cannot be undone.
