MoneyMe is not a bank, payment app, wallet, brokerage, or real-money account. MoneyMe only tracks virtual balances controlled by a parent. Parents are responsible for any real money outside MoneyMe.

What MoneyMe is
MoneyMe is a parent-run virtual family ledger for money learning. Parents control the real-world money and decisions outside MoneyMe. Kids can see a parent-tracked virtual balance, history, and request status.
MoneyMe does not hold, move, invest, custody, or pay real money.
How kids use MoneyMe and how consent works
Kids cannot self-register for MoneyMe.
A parent creates the kid profile in the parent app. The parent then generates a QR code for pairing. A kid can use the kid app only after scanning that parent-generated QR code.
This parent-created profile and parent-generated QR pairing flow is MoneyMe's verifiable parental consent process. A kid cannot create access independently, provide an email or password, or use MoneyMe without parent-initiated pairing.
Kid data we collect
MoneyMe collects only limited kid information needed to operate the service:
- Display name
- Optional birth year
- Optional avatar image
- Device pairing and session metadata
- Push notification token
- Withdrawal requests, including amount and optional note
- First-party app install and app start events
MoneyMe does not collect the following from kids:
- Kid email address
- Kid password
- Precise location
- Contacts
- Advertising identifiers
How kid data is collected
- You provide kid profile information when you create or manage a kid profile.
- You or your kid may provide an optional avatar image.
- The kid app creates device pairing and session metadata when you pair a device by QR code.
- The kid app may register a push notification token if notifications are enabled.
- Your kid may create a withdrawal request with an amount and optional note.
- The kid app sends first-party install and start events when installed or opened.
Why we collect kid data
MoneyMe uses kid data only for limited service purposes:
- Display the kid's parent-tracked virtual balance and history
- Show the kid profile inside the family
- Pair and manage kid devices
- Let kids send withdrawal requests to parents
- Send service notifications
- Provide support and troubleshooting
- Maintain security and reliability
- Support legal, privacy, and operational requirements
MoneyMe does not use kid data for behavioral advertising, profiling, social sharing, or child-targeted upsells.
Data minimization
MoneyMe is designed to minimize kid data collection. We collect only what is needed for display, pairing, requests, notifications, support, security, and legal operations. If information is not needed for those purposes, MoneyMe is designed not to collect it from kids.
Push notifications to kids
MoneyMe may send push notifications to a kid device for service operation, such as updates related to the kid's parent-tracked virtual balance or request status.
Push notifications to kids are not used for marketing. MoneyMe does not use push notifications to contact kids for advertising, promotions, or unrelated messages.
Persistent identifiers
Under COPPA, device and session identifiers and push notification tokens can count as persistent identifiers.
MoneyMe uses device pairing metadata, session identifiers, and push tokens only to operate the service, manage paired devices, maintain security, deliver service notifications, and troubleshoot issues.
MoneyMe also collects first-party app install and app start events. These events are used only for support for internal operations, including service operation, security, reliability, and troubleshooting. They are not used for behavioral advertising or profiling.
What MoneyMe does not do
- Show ads to kids
- Use behavioral advertising
- Use third-party analytics SDKs in the kid app
- Use third-party crash SDKs in the kid app
- Include social feeds, friend lists, public profiles, or sharing features
- Sell kid data
- Collect advertising identifiers from kids
- Let kids self-register
- Let kids move real money
Parent rights
As a parent, you can:
- Review the kid data associated with your family
- Request an export of your family's data
- Request hard deletion of your family's data
- Revoke consent by deactivating a kid profile or revoking paired kid devices
- Refuse further collection by stopping kid app use and requesting deletion

To exercise these rights, contact privacy@moneyme.kids. You may also contact support@moneyme.kids for help.
Revoking kid access
You can revoke a kid's access by deactivating the kid profile or revoking paired devices in the parent app. After access is revoked, the kid device can no longer use MoneyMe for that family. You may also request hard deletion of your family's data.
Deletion
Parents can request hard deletion of family data. Hard deletion removes family, kid, virtual ledger, request, device/session, export, notification, file-storage, and event records associated with the family, subject only to limited records that may be required for security, legal, or operational purposes. See our Data Rights page for details.
To request deletion, contact privacy@moneyme.kids.
Changes to this notice
We may update this Kids Privacy Notice as MoneyMe changes or as legal requirements evolve. If we make material changes to how kid information is collected, used, or disclosed, we will provide notice to parents through in-app messages, push notifications, legal notices to the parent sign-in email address, or other reasonable service channels as required.
